Right of withdrawal and cancellation

The 14-day right of withdrawal for consumers in Ireland, and how any Fidrel subscription is cancelled.

Fidrel is available to businesses, organisations and individuals. Where the law treats consumers differently, these terms say so.

Your right of withdrawal as a consumer

If you are a consumer, meaning an individual acting for purposes outside your trade, business, craft or profession, you have the right to withdraw from a Fidrel subscription contract within 14 days without giving any reason. This right comes from the Consumer Rights Act 2022 and EU Directive 2011/83/EU on consumer rights. The withdrawal period expires 14 days after the day the contract is concluded, which is the day you complete your order, including an order that starts with a free first month. If we have not given you the required information about this right, the period is extended by up to 12 months.

How to withdraw

To withdraw, inform us of your decision by a clear statement, for example a letter sent by post or an email: Fidrel AB, Paviljongvägen 2, 132 40 Stockholm, Sweden, [email protected]. You may use the model withdrawal form at the end of this page, but you do not have to. To meet the deadline, it is enough to send your notice before the withdrawal period has expired. We confirm receipt by email.

Effects of withdrawal

If you withdraw, we reimburse all payments received from you under the contract without undue delay and no later than 14 days after the day we are informed of your decision, less any amount you owe for service already provided as explained below. We use the same means of payment as you used for the original transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise, and you will not incur any fees because of the reimbursement.

Starting the service during the withdrawal period

A paid project opens as soon as payment is confirmed. You pay for paid service provided during the withdrawal period only if you expressly asked for it to start during that period. If you did so and then withdraw, you pay an amount in proportion to what has been provided until you inform us of your withdrawal, compared with the full coverage of the contract; for a monthly subscription, for example, that is the share of the month that has passed. If you did not expressly ask for the service to start, or we did not give you the required information, you pay nothing for that time. You lose the right of withdrawal only once the service has been fully performed, and only if performance began with your express prior request and your acknowledgement that you would lose the right once the contract had been fully performed. A monthly or yearly subscription is not fully performed within the 14-day period. Nothing is charged during a free first month, so withdrawing during it costs nothing.

Business customers

Businesses and organisations have no statutory right of withdrawal. They can cancel a subscription at any time as described below.

Cancelling a subscription

Every customer can cancel a monthly or yearly subscription at any time under Manage plan in Fidrel, or by emailing [email protected] from the account holder’s or an administrator’s address with the organisation or account name and the project name. There is no cancellation fee, and we confirm the cancellation by email. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period, the month or year already paid, and stops the next renewal; the project remains available until then. If you cancel during the free first month, nothing is charged. Outside the right of withdrawal and other rights you have by law, paid periods are not refunded in part.

Your project content

Export what you need before the paid period ends. What happens to project content afterwards follows your agreement and the retention rules in the privacy notice.
