Better handovers start with shared information

Fidrel brings documents and dialogue together for clearer handovers between clients, designers and contractors.

One project, several perspectives

The client needs oversight, the designer needs clear inputs and the contractor needs usable information. Separate information chains make handovers uncertain: is this the latest revision, and has the question been answered? Fidrel brings documents and project dialogue into a shared environment, giving the team a clearer starting point for the next step.

Hand over responsibility, not just files

A good handover contains more than a folder. State what is included, which questions remain open and who owns the next action. Agree who can read, upload or review the material, too. A shared project environment does not mean everyone sees everything. Clear structure and scoped access make collaboration across companies easier without sharing sensitive information more widely than intended.

Make the next step concrete

Before the handover, agree whether the information is for review, tendering or construction. Its purpose determines what needs to accompany it. Gather the correct revisions, describe known departures and set a response date. When a document is replaced, make clear which version no longer applies. The handover becomes an agreement about the next step rather than just an upload notification.

Follow up what remains open

Access alone does not always mean a delivery is complete. Review outstanding questions and assign owners, especially where other disciplines, costs or the programme are affected. Record decisions where the team can find them and update the documents accordingly. Fidrel connects information and dialogue; the parties still need to agree responsibilities, approvals and the criteria for a completed delivery.
