Terms of use

The agreement for using Fidrel’s website and project workspace in Canada.

Version française

Fidrel is available to businesses, organizations and individuals. Where the law treats consumers differently, these terms say so.

Agreement and eligibility

These terms apply to fidrel.com and the Fidrel service provided by Fidrel AB, a company incorporated in Sweden. You must have reached the age of majority in your province or territory. If you use Fidrel for an organization, you must have authority to bind it, and “you” then includes the organization. Creating an account alone is not an order.

Service and accounts

Fidrel manages documents, versions, reviews and project permissions. Provide accurate details and keep your personal account secure. Each person uses their own account.

Content and rights

Customers keep the rights to the content they upload and must have the rights and permissions needed to upload it. Fidrel processes content to deliver, support and secure the service as agreed. A subscription grants a licence to use the service; it does not transfer ownership of the software or trademarks.

Acceptable use

Do not distribute malware, bypass permissions, disrupt the service or upload unlawful content. Report any suspected unauthorized access. Process only data that suits the service and your agreement.

Drawings and availability

Previews may simplify or omit CAD objects. Check originals, scales and coordinates before design, construction or measurement decisions. For business customers, and to the extent the law allows, the service is provided as is and as available, without implied warranties or conditions of merchantable quality or fitness for a particular purpose. If you are a consumer, the warranties and conditions that your provincial consumer protection law implies, such as Ontario’s requirement that services be of reasonably acceptable quality, or the warranties under Quebec’s Consumer Protection Act and Civil Code, apply and cannot be excluded. Maintenance and outages may occur. Guaranteed availability or support levels apply only where expressly agreed.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, Fidrel is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue or data, and its total liability for any claim is limited to the amount paid for the affected subscription in the 12 months before the claim. Some provinces, including Quebec, do not allow these exclusions or limits for consumers, so they may not apply to you. Nothing here limits liability for Fidrel’s own intentional or gross fault, for bodily or moral injury, or any other liability that cannot be limited by law.

Language

These terms are written in English. A French version of these terms and of all related documents is on Fidrel’s Canadian French site (fidrel.com/ca-fr), linked at the top of each of these pages and at checkout. If you are in Quebec, you are entitled to be bound by the French version: read it before you agree, and you can also ask us for it at [email protected]. You may choose to be bound by the English version only after you have been given the French version, and choosing the English version is then your express choice. Where you have done so: the parties have expressly required that this agreement and all related documents be drawn up in English. Les parties ont expressément exigé que la présente convention et tous les documents s’y rattachant soient rédigés en anglais.

Termination, governing law and disputes

Access may be restricted for security risks or material breach, with notice where possible. Export, retention and deletion follow the agreement and the law. For business customers, these terms are governed by Swedish law, excluding its conflict-of-law rules, and disputes are resolved by the courts of Sweden. If you are a consumer, these choices do not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory laws of your province or territory of residence, including its consumer protection act, and you may bring a claim in the courts where you live. Nothing in these terms requires a consumer to go to arbitration or waives a consumer’s right to take part in a class action. Please contact us first so that we can try to resolve any disagreement.

Fidrel AI

Fidrel AI is included in the project’s subscription with a monthly AI capacity that those who manage the project’s plan can allocate and extend with packs. Answers and proposals are generated automatically and may contain errors; check what matters before you rely on it. Nothing is created or changed in the project until a person has approved it. Fidrel AI reads only what you yourself have access to and must not be used to get around permissions, produce unlawful content or place an unreasonable load on the service.

Project value and subscriptions

Customers must provide accurate estimated total project values and update them when materially changed. Each separate project requires its own subscription unless agreed otherwise in writing. Independent projects must not be hidden as estimates, folders or subprojects to evade pricing. Multiple estimates for the same real project are allowed.

Personal accounts

Do not share or transfer login credentials to circumvent the agreement. Invite each person with their own account and appropriate permissions. An organization account does not replace subscriptions for its separate projects.

Verification and correction

Fidrel may request reasonable evidence of project value and agreed use, and review relevant usage statistics, storage volume and security logs to investigate suspected misuse. Access to project content must be necessary, authorized and consistent with the agreement and privacy policy. This does not mean all content is continuously reviewed by staff or AI. Customers normally have an opportunity to explain or correct discrepancies. Adjusted charges and access restrictions must be supported by the agreement; security risks may require immediate action.
